Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ResumeUpscale collects, uses, and protects information related to the service.

Last updated: May 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how ResumeUpscale collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information in connection with its services. It applies to information collected through our website, checkout and payment flows, intake processes, delivery systems, support communications, rewrite and revision workflows, and related service operations.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you purchase a service, complete an intake, submit documents, communicate with us, request revisions, respond to follow-up questions, or access delivered files.

This may include your name, email address, contact information, plan or order details, billing metadata, intake responses, uploaded files, resume content, job descriptions, target roles, career history, work samples, LinkedIn information, cover-letter inputs, certifications, support messages, and any other materials you choose to provide in connection with the service.

3. Submitted Materials and Career Information

Because ResumeUpscale provides document preparation, rewriting, editing, formatting, and delivery services, we may collect and process career-related information such as work history, responsibilities, achievements, education, certifications, job targets, location preferences, compensation context, LinkedIn profile information, and employer-specific application materials.

Customers retain ownership of the resumes, career materials, supporting documents, and other information they submit to ResumeUpscale.

We may also collect draft and final service outputs, revision history, rewrite request details, delivery history, delivery access events, support follow-up information, and related operational records needed to provide, maintain, and support the service.

4. Payment and Checkout Information

Payments may be processed by third-party payment processors such as Stripe or similar providers. ResumeUpscale does not necessarily store full payment card numbers, security codes, or other full card credentials when those details are handled directly by the payment processor.

We may receive and retain payment-related metadata such as transaction identifiers, plan information, payment status, billing email, timestamps, limited card descriptors, dispute information, and other records needed for accounting, fraud prevention, support, and operational verification.

5. How We Use Information

We use information to provide the services you purchase, including reviewing intake submissions, organizing materials, rewriting and formatting documents, preparing LinkedIn and cover-letter content, managing revision and rewrite requests, delivering completed files, and supporting redelivery where appropriate.

We also use information to communicate with you, troubleshoot issues, verify service activity, maintain proof and delivery records, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with legal obligations, protect our business and users, and improve ResumeUpscale’s workflows, templates, formatting systems, software, internal tools, and service reliability.

6. Internal Tools, AI-Assisted Tools, and Service Providers

ResumeUpscale may use internal tools, AI-assisted tools, and third-party service providers to help provide, review, support, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service. These providers may include hosting, storage, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, security, document processing, and AI-assisted service providers.

Where service providers or operational tools process information for ResumeUpscale, they do so on ResumeUpscale’s behalf for service delivery, support, security, troubleshooting, quality assurance, operations, or internal service-improvement purposes, subject to applicable contractual, technical, security, or operational safeguards where appropriate.

7. No Sale, Advertising Use, or General-Purpose Model Training

We do not sell your submitted materials or personal information.

We do not use your submitted career materials in advertising or promotional campaigns.

We do not use your submitted career materials to train general-purpose AI models made available to the public or to other customers.

Where practical, we may use de-identified, aggregated, redacted, or test data for internal analysis, quality improvement, troubleshooting, service reliability work, and internal product or workflow improvement.

8. How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers and vendors that help us operate ResumeUpscale, including providers supporting hosting, storage, email delivery, payments, analytics, security, document handling, support, and AI-assisted service operations.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms or policies, respond to legal requests, protect users or the public, detect or prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, or protect the rights, property, and safety of ResumeUpscale or others.

We do not sell submitted career materials for advertising, data-broker, cross-context behavioral advertising, or general-purpose model-training purposes.

9. Retention and Deletion

We retain customer records, submitted materials, drafts, deliverables, payment-related records, and operational logs only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, handle revisions and support, maintain business and legal records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and protect service operations.

When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we may delete it, de-identify it, redact it, or retain only limited records required for accounting, tax, legal, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. Payment and transaction records may be retained longer than service-content files where required or permitted by law.

Deleted information may remain in backups or recovery systems until those backups are overwritten or rotated in the ordinary course.

10. Customer Privacy Requests

Customers may contact ResumeUpscale to request access, correction, or deletion of certain information. We aim to make deletion requests reasonably accessible, but we may retain information where needed for legal compliance, accounting, tax, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, transaction verification, or other legitimate business recordkeeping needs.

If you request deletion, we may delete or de-identify submitted materials and personal information that we are no longer required or permitted to retain. ResumeUpscale may need to verify your identity or request authority before processing certain privacy requests.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

No storage, transmission, or online system can be guaranteed completely secure, and ResumeUpscale cannot promise absolute security in all circumstances.

12. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

ResumeUpscale may use cookies, pixels, tags, analytics tools, advertising measurement tools, and similar technologies to operate the website, measure usage, understand service performance, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and evaluate marketing effectiveness. These tools may collect technical and usage information such as browser type, device information, IP address, page interactions, session information, referral source, and general diagnostic data.

ResumeUpscale does not use submitted career materials, resumes, uploaded files, intake responses, proof points, rewrite requests, or final deliverables for advertising, retargeting, or cross-context behavioral advertising. If we use advertising or retargeting tools, they are intended to operate on website or campaign activity rather than the content of submitted career materials.

If our use of cookies, pixels, analytics, or advertising tools requires additional notices, choices, or opt-out rights under applicable law, we will provide them as required.

13. Third-Party Links and Services

Our website, emails, or service materials may include links to third-party services, platforms, or websites. ResumeUpscale is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of third parties that are not controlled by ResumeUpscale.

If you interact with third-party websites or services, their own terms, privacy notices, and practices will apply.

14. Children’s Privacy

ResumeUpscale is not directed to children under 13. ResumeUpscale is intended for adults and for individuals using the service through a parent, legal guardian, or other authorized purchaser where required by law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a minor has provided personal information to ResumeUpscale without appropriate authorization, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.

15. State, National, or Regional Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and to the extent applicable law applies, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or additional information about certain personal information we hold about you.

ResumeUpscale will evaluate privacy requests in light of applicable law, the nature of the information involved, and our legal, security, operational, and recordkeeping obligations. Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit rights that may apply under law where you reside.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

ResumeUpscale may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect service changes, legal developments, operational changes, or revised data practices.

The updated Privacy Policy will apply when posted, unless a different effective date is stated. Your continued use of the service after updates become effective may indicate acceptance where permitted by law.
